Sam met a girl while she was swimming yesterday in the lock. Her name is Samantha (goes by Sammy) and she is turning 7 in 2 months. They had so much fun and are planning on becoming pen pals. Sammy lives about 2 hours away from here and was traveling with her grandparents on their BIG boat. The girls played for over 3 hours and it was hard to get them out of the water. The water had to be below 70 degrees and it was about 75 degrees out. They didn't care, they were having the time of their lives. Sam was so happy to meet someone to play with in the water. She did say that it takes a good while to get used to the water and then it's not that bad. Yeah, I touched her and she was freezing and the smell is something I wouldn't want on me, very fishy. Kids don't care. I am happy she met someone or she would have been begging me to get in. YUCK. I didn't see any big fish but the smell told me they were there.
