Samantha's school teaches the kids chess and then they compete against each other in the spring. This year she beat all her opponents. Yes, I am a proud mama! They have to shake hands before the game, play the game without talking, touch a piece and you have to move it and then at the end of the game they have to shake hands again. It is amazing to watch kids from kindergarten to eighth grade all in a room for hours and not talk. Parents were also invited to play, I didn't sign up for that since my ego would have been wounded if I got beat by a kindergartner and it surely would have!
