Jane of the JungleSamantha tried on some of my old costumes that I made and said she is going to wear one of these for Halloween. What one do you think she should wear? Some of you that look at these might recognize the costumes. The clown I made one year in high school and wore, the elf one I wore right before winter break in 12th grade and the Jane costume I wore to a party at Cornell University when I was in HS. So, these outfits are about 20 years old and Samantha loves trying them on. I also have a nun outfit but she has to get taller, I did try it on again and laughed. Samantha wanted to know what was so funny and I had to tell her why I made that outfit and when I wore it. It was way back in 1988 during homecoming week and seniors were asked to wear black on rainbow day. I made the nun outfit and proceeded to wear it to school. When I went to one of my classes the teacher told me that she didn't have a guest speaker and I had to tell her it was me. We had a good laugh. Samantha thought the story was funny and asked me to wear the outfit this Halloween. Why is it that 20 years ago I was OK about wearing that costume but wearing it now just doesn't feel right. We'll see if she can convince me to do it, she is pretty good at that.
