Today we decided to carve our pumpkins. What I thought would only take a couple of hours turned into 5 hours. Samantha was very excited about carving pumpkins and wanted to do it last week when we got them. It was hard convincing her that they wouldn't make it until Halloween if we carved them to soon. We started carving the pumpkins and kept pulling out the seeds and then MORE seeds. I baked up all our seeds, which was 8 trays full. Samantha above is holding a bowl full of seeds after we already ate a bunch of them. I have no idea what we will do with all these seeds. We have never gotten this many pumpkins but I was a sucker last weekend and let Samantha keep picking them out! I am finally out of the kitchen and enjoying sitting down and relaxing. The last photo is a picture of all our carved pumpkins from L-R is Jim's large pumpkin, Susan's large pumpkin, Samantha's little pumpkin, Susan's little pumpkin and Samantha's large pumpkin. Hopefully they will make it for 5 more days sitting outside to be enjoyed on Halloween.
